Ranbir Kapoor is taking on a double role in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, playing both Lord Ram and Lord Parshuram, two legendary avatars of Vishnu.
The teaser, which dropped on April 2, shows him as a fierce warrior-king battling giants and demons.
One standout moment? Ram catching a large golden ax believed to have belonged to Parshuram, a scene that's already got fans talking.
Kapoor calls dual roles 'fantastic'
Kapoor shared that getting to play both roles was "fantastic," and he focused on making each character feel unique through their emotions and spirituality.
This marks his second time playing dual roles after Shamshera (2022).
The film also features Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, with a Diwali 2026 release planned and a sequel lined up for 2027.
