What's the story
Renowned music composer Devi Sri Prasad, popularly known as DSP, is reportedly making his acting debut with Dil Raju's upcoming film Yellamma. The movie will be directed by Venu Yeldandi, who previously won hearts with his emotional storytelling in Balagam. Initially, actors Nani and Nithiin were considered for the lead role, but due to scheduling conflicts, they couldn't commit.
Casting process
Sharwanand and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas were also considered
After Nani and Nithiin, actors Sharwanand and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas were also considered for the lead role. However, due to various reasons, they couldn't be finalized for the project. Eventually, DSP emerged as the top choice to headline this much-anticipated film. Although an official announcement is yet to be made by the team, news of DSP's involvement has already created a buzz on social media platforms.
Female lead
Keerthy Suresh in talks for female lead
Adding to the excitement, National Award-winning actor Keerthy Suresh is reportedly in talks to play the female lead opposite DSP, per 123Telugu. After Sai Pallavi's exit from the project earlier this year, Suresh became a strong contender for the role. Her charm and expressive performances are expected to add emotional depth to Yellamma's narrative.

Meanwhile, Suresh is also busy with another Raju project. She will be seen alongside Vijay Deverakonda in Rowdy Janardhana. The film was announced recently with a pooja ceremony and is being directed by Ravi Kiran Kola. It promises to be an action-packed entertainer.
