Kerala is setting up a ₹50 crore cultural park in Kozhikode, dedicated to the late writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair.
The idea is to keep Kerala's unique art forms alive and give young people more ways to connect with local culture, especially as digital trends take over.
Kozhikode park includes stages, museum, amenities
Expect performance spaces for classics like Kathakali, Theyyam, Oppana, and more, plus spots for dance, music, short films and documentaries, and even a museum celebrating language and literature.
There'll be hangout zones for families, food courts, bookshops, and places to stay.
A former functionary of the State Library Council said the park should boost cultural activities and tourism while making sure Kozhikode's creative spirit sticks around for everyone.
