Khan likens 'Maatrubhumi' role to Lord Ram, urges story focus
Entertainment
At the trailer launch for Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, Salman Khan drew a thoughtful comparison between his character, Colonel B Santosh Babu, and Lord Ram, saying both represent "the best husband, best son, best father, best warrior and best brother."
He also nudged fans to pay attention to the story itself instead of getting caught up in budget debates (a subtle reference to all the buzz around Ramayana's massive ₹4,000 crore spend).
'Maatrubhumi' delayed to December 4
Maatrubhumi is based on Shiv Aroor's India's Most Fearless and lands in theaters on December 4 after being pushed back from April due to reshoots.
If you have people above the age of 75, tickets for them are just ₹11, a sweet deal.
Meanwhile, Ramayana has already raked in ₹221.05 crore worldwide.
