Anukalp Goswami, the director of the upcoming film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, has clarified that Ayesha Khan's casting wasn't influenced by her popularity on Bigg Boss 17 or her social media following. In an interview with Zoom, he said they had a clear vision for their characters. Meanwhile, the film will release on Friday, December 12.

Goswami said, "We envisioned a Hindu, Muslim, Christian, and Sikh girl. We proceeded with that vision and concept." "The idea of casting a woman with Bigg Boss behind her and a certain follower count was never considered. We selected the actor who best embodied the character." Khan plays a Muslim woman in the sequel to the 2015 film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.
