
Konkona Sen Sharma to direct comedy-drama series for Prime Video
What's the story
Konkona Sen Sharma, who made her directorial debut with the critically acclaimed A Death in the Gunj (2017) and later directed a short in Lust Stories 2 (2023), is all set to return to direction. The Bollywood actor will be helming a comedy-drama series for Amazon Prime Video, reported PeepingMoon. The show is currently in casting mode with filming expected to commence by December or early next year.

Sen Sharma to co-direct with Jaydeep Sarkar
Sen Sharma will be co-directing the upcoming series with Jaydeep Sarkar, who has previously worked on projects such as Feels Like Ishq (Netflix) and Rainbow Rishta (Amazon Prime Video). The duo is expected to bring a unique blend of humor and romance against the vibrant backdrop of South Delhi. This will be Sen Sharma's second collaboration with Amazon Prime Video after her acclaimed performance in Nikkhil Advani's Mumbai Diaries.

Sen Sharma's previous web series project was shelved
Sen Sharma was earlier supposed to make her digital directorial debut with a web series based on the life of actor Arati Das, aka Miss Shefali. However, that project was shelved in 2020. Now, years later, she is venturing into a lighter genre with this upcoming web series. Last seen in Anurag Basu's Metro... In Dino, Sen Sharma has wrapped up her acting commitments to focus on her directorial endeavor.
