Rapper Mystikal (Michael Lawrence Tyler) was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to third-degree rape.
The charges stem from an incident at his Louisiana home in August 2022, where the victim spoke out in court and asked the judge for the toughest sentence.
Tyler took plea dropping 9 charges
According to the victim, Mystikal accused her of stealing, assaulted her, and used her phone to transfer money before letting her leave.
He was already a lifetime registered sex offender from a 2003 sexual assault conviction.
Earlier this year, he took a plea deal that dropped nine other charges and reduced his charge from first-degree rape.
This is not his first run-in with the law. He has faced similar charges before, including an 18-month jail stint back in 2017.
