Neil Patrick Harris, the 51-year-old actor famous for How I Met Your Mother, has transformed himself for his latest role in Dexter: Resurrection.
He was seen on Wednesday (March 5) with a shaggy, tousled brunette hairdo while shooting scenes with co-star Michael C Hall in New York City. Harris was wearing a navy shirt layered under a black puffer coat, paired with dark blue jeans.
His character's name is Lowell, but other details about this new role are under wraps.

Dexter: Resurrection continues the story of the original Dexter series, which starred Hall as Dexter Morgan, a blood pattern analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department.
The show was critically acclaimed, winning four Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award during its run.
The first spinoff series, Dexter: New Blood aired from November 2021 to January 2022 with Hall reprising his role.

'Dexter: Resurrection' to follow 'Dexter: Original Sin'
The new series, Dexter: Resurrection, will pick up from where Dexter: Original Sin left off. The prequel series premiered in late 2024 and starred a young Dexter portrayed by Patrick Gibson.
Along with Hall and Harris, the new series will also feature Uma Thurman, David Zayas, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Emilia Suarez, James Remar, etc.

Hall's involvement in 'Dexter' franchise deemed 'crucial'
Clyde Phillips, the showrunner of Original Sin, highlighted Hall's role in the Dexter franchise during a chat with PEOPLE in December 2024.
He said, "It's important to me creatively. It's important to me as his friend. And it's important because I know the impact it will have on the audience."
Phillips also said Hall's narration would pull audiences in a big way because of his star power.
