Nolan calls 'The Odyssey' on location shoot an exciting challenge
Christopher Nolan's new film, The Odyssey, lands in theaters July 17, and instead of green screens, he took the cast to real spots in Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, and Iceland.
Nolan called it an "exciting challenge," saying that filming in remote places was tough but made things feel fresh with every location change.
'The Odyssey' cast calls shoot immersive
The actors had plenty to say about the adventure.
Matt Damon (Odysseus) said that it almost felt like they were making six-seven films.
Zendaya (Athena) said, "As an actress, it is a luxury to be in such an immersive space. I don't have to pretend that I am on a boat, I am on the boat. We are at sea. What a gift!"
Robert Pattinson (Antinous) mentioned some sets needed 45-minute hikes to reach.
Anne Hathaway and Tom Holland are also part of this epic based on Homer's classic.
