'Dragon': Jr NTR-Prashanth Neel to shoot in Tunisia soon
What's the story
The much-awaited pan-India film Dragon, featuring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel, is gearing up for an international shooting schedule in Africa. The team is expected to begin filming in Tunisia in late November, reported 123 Telugu. Before heading to Africa, NTR will participate in a crucial Hyderabad shoot where some pivotal scenes are being planned.
Pre-production
Neel and team to conduct location recce 1st
Neel and his technical team are scheduled to fly to Tunisia on October 27 for a week-long location recce. This schedule is expected to feature some of the film's significant action sequences. The film also stars Kantara: Chapter 1 actor Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead and is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
Timeline
'Dragon's release pushed further
The shooting for Dragon began earlier this year with high expectations, but the production has been slow. Recently, Telugu 360 reported that there have been many long breaks between schedules, affecting the film's overall timeline. The team had previously pushed the film's release from Sankranthi to June 2026, but insiders now hint at a late-2026 or early-2027 release due to extensive post-production work.
Script changes
Script revision reportedly demanded by NTR from Neel
NTR has reportedly asked Neel to revise the script of Dragon. A source recently told Bollywood Hungama, "NTR wants Dragon to succeed at any cost. He is willing to go that extra mile to ensure it turns out just right." "NTR doesn't dislike what Prashanth has shot so far. But he feels it can be better. He wants the content to be better than what it is right now." NTR was last seen in War 2.
