Salman Khan gets legal notice for 'Rajshree Elaichi' ads

Entertainment

Bollywood star Salman Khan has been served a legal notice for appearing in ads for Rajshree Elaichi, a product from the same company that manufactures Rajshree Pan Masala, over claims that the products contain "saffron-infused cardamom."
The complaint, filed by senior BJP leader and Rajasthan High Court advocate Inder Mohan Singh Honey, points out that saffron is pricey and questions how it could be in a ₹5 product.
He's worried these ads might mislead young people and encourage more pan masala use—a known risk for mouth cancer.

Court seeks replies by November 27

The court wants replies from Khan and the manufacturer by November 27.
Honey also called out celebs to be more careful with what they endorse since their influence is huge.
For context, Salman has promoted Rajshree Elaichi (a cardamom product), but not the pan masala itself.
