Salman Khan to make special appearance in Sunny Deol's 'Gabru'

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be seen in an extended cameo in the upcoming emotional drama Gabru, starring Sunny Deol. The news was confirmed by a source to Bollywood Hungama, who said that the makers wanted a star and Khan was their first choice. "Salman was approached and he loved the part and its contribution to the film," added the source. "He quietly shot the film more than a year ago and it has shaped up well."

Khan's cameo in 'Gabru' to be a heartwarming surprise
The source further revealed that Khan's role in Gabru is "all heart." "It is adorable and also highly entertaining. He has three scenes in total and hence, it's an extended special appearance." Notably, despite their close friendship, Khan and Deol have only worked together once before, on the 1996 film Jeet. They were also part of Heroes (2008) but didn't share screen space there.

Khan's upcoming projects and 'Gabru' release date
Apart from Gabru, Khan will also be seen in a special appearance in Raja Shivaji, which is set to release on May 1, 2026. The film stars Riteish Deshmukh as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Khan will play Jiva Mahala, one of the Maharaj's most trusted warriors. Next year, he will also lead the much-awaited war flick Battle of Galwan. Gabru is scheduled to hit theaters on March 13, 2026.
