Sanon and Mandanna deny lesbian, threesome plot in 'Cocktail 2'
Rumors about Cocktail 2 having a lesbian storyline or a threesome with Shahid Kapoor aren't true, say Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.
At a recent promo event, Kriti said, "There is no lesbian story." "There are three straight people, guys, relax. It's an emotional film; there is no physical threesome." Rashmika added with a smile, "But we do have that chemistry."
"Watch the film, guys. You will enjoy." The movie focuses on emotional connections instead of unconventional relationships.
Adajania, Vijan dismiss 'Cocktail 2' rumors
Director Homi Adajania explained these rumors began as an inside joke about Kriti and Rashmika's close friendship on set: "And we just hypothetically thought what if the story was about them and Shahid was the third wheel?"
Producer Dinesh Vijan confirmed it's just two love stories, one old, one new, and nothing more.
Cocktail 2 hits theaters June 19.
