Actor Shaad Randhawa, who had a successful 2025 with three releases, including Saiyaara and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, has signed a new project with a legacy production house. He will be seen in filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming directorial venture, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead. This is Randhawa's first collaboration with the Barjatya banner and he has already started shooting for the film.

Khurrana's character in Barjatya's film revealed
While the film's plot is still under wraps, Khurrana has revealed that he plays a character named Prem. This role is a departure from the typical family entertainers associated with Barjatya. He described the film as having a strong message without being preachy and its tone and genre fall somewhere between Barjatya's filmmaking style and Khurrana's known films. Meanwhile, Khurrana has described working with Barjatya as: "He approaches his work with such dedication, which truly motivates me."
