Kapil Sharma's restaurant in Surrey, Canada, has been hit by one shooting incident tied to extortion and a separate shooting at a Surrey residence.
Police have now charged two 22-year-olds (Pardeep Singh and Saveer Khan) with reckless firearm discharge.
One shooting happened on Oct. 16, 2025, when the restaurant was closed; thankfully, the staff inside were not hurt.
Yearlong extortion probe links Surrey shootings
The first incident actually took place a few days earlier at a residence in Surrey, where a woman was injured.
After connecting both cases, the B.C. Extortion Task Force spent a year investigating before making arrests.
The RCMP says it is committed to tackling extortion-related violence and keeping the community safe.
