Singh lawyers warn IMPPA over 'Don 3' producers demand 45cr
Ranveer Singh's lawyers have warned the Indian Motion Picture Producers's Association (IMPPA) about the ongoing Don 3 controversy.
After Ranveer exited Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's project, producers demanded ₹45 crore in damages and took their complaint to several industry bodies.
Singh's team responded, saying there was no formal agreement, just a memorandum of understanding.
Singh lawyers say IMPPA lacks jurisdiction
Singh's legal team says IMPPA doesn't have the authority to decide this dispute and asked them to drop the complaint.
After an August 18 meeting, they sent another letter warning that any action against Ranveer could lead to legal trouble.
Despite some people in IMPPA feeling the actor should face the heat, Ranveer is still riding high: his latest film Dhurandhar: The Revenge is already 2026's biggest blockbuster so far.
