Singh says he prefers 'Maachis' re-release over sequel this year

Chandrachur Singh, who starred in the 1996 classic Maachis, says he'd rather see the film re-released than get a sequel.
As the movie turns 30 this year, Singh feels it's already said everything it needed to: "I would rather see Maachis re-released. I always believed that the original had said everything it needed and so there was nothing much left to carry it forward."
Singh embraces OTT and film projects
Filming wasn't easy: political unrest in Punjab meant the team had to shoot in places like Manali, Kota, and Mumbai.
Singh landed his role after Gulzar saw his audition tapes and felt his look fit perfectly.
Looking ahead, Singh is embracing both OTT and film projects as digital platforms open up more chances for actors today.
