Vikram Bhatt announces '1920: Cold Winter' after 'Haunted 3D' success

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has announced the next installment of his popular horror franchise, 1920. Titled 1920: Cold Winter, the film is a collaboration between producer Anand Pandit and Bhatt. The project is co-produced by Roopa Pandit and Rahul V Dubey. Bhatt recently shared the first look of the movie on social media.

The first film in the 1920 franchise was released in 2008, written and directed by Bhatt. Set in the titular year, it starred Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma as a married couple who move into a haunted mansion where the wife becomes possessed by an evil spirit. The sequel, titled 1920: The Evil Returns, was released in 2012 and featured Aftab Shivdasani, Tia Bajpai, Vidya Malvade, and Sharad Kelkar. It was directed by Bhushan Patel.
