Wamiqa Gabbi kicks off intense shoot for 'DC' in Madurai

Wamiqa Gabbi is diving into a 45-day filming marathon in Madurai for her next movie, DC—a romantic action thriller directed by Arun Matheswaran.
The film also marks Lokesh Kanagaraj's acting debut as Devadas, while Gabbi takes on the role of Chandra.
DC is set to hit theaters in summer 2026.

Prepping hard and staying busy

To nail her character, Gabbi's working with a dialogue coach to master the local dialect and get ready for some tough scenes—showing just how committed she is.
Alongside DC, she's been juggling projects like Bhoot Bangla with Akshay Kumar and Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 with Ayushmann Khurrana, plus she has Kuku Ki Kundali lined up with Karan Johar and Bhuvan Bam.
