The team name was later adopted by the Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones. Together, they kept the neighborhood crime free, often defending against dangerous villains like Diamondback and Black Cat.

After an intergalactic war, Peter Quill brings together a ragtag group of cosmic misfits including Drax, Groot, Gamora and Rocket Raccoon.

It was initially started in 1969 and since then, the group has more than lived up to its name as the Guardians of the Galaxy.

This group has tackled several notable villains including Thanos, Annihilus while keeping aggressive alien races in check.

Mutants have been treated as outcasts in society due to their powers. They found a home with Professor Charles Xavier.

He formed the X-Men fighting for mutant equality and to improve relations between humans and mutants.

The team has evolved over time but notable members include the extremely powerful Jean Grey, Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm and even Magneto as an occasional ally.

Often called the first family of Marvel, this group of superheroes needs no introduction.

They started in the 1960s as Reed Richards along with Sue and Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm, were exposed to mysterious radiation on a space mission and gained powers to become Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and Thing respectively.

They have battled evil like Galactus since then.

Avengers was always the most recognized team of superheroes, perhaps it was after the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Nonetheless, the earth's mightiest defenders include Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and several other heroes over the years.

Whenever this team assembles, Earth and the universe feels safer because Marvel has no better team of heroes keeping watch.
