What's the story

The release of the Hindi crime-comedy film Jeevan Bheema Yojana has been postponed to September 4. The movie, which stars Arshad Warsi in a dual role, was earlier scheduled to hit theaters on Friday (August 28). The decision to push back the date was made in order to allow for the final leg of the film's marketing campaign and provide more time for publicity, reported Deadline.

To announce the new release date, the makers have also unveiled a new poster for Jeevan Bheema Yojana.

The film is produced by Starbeam Ventures (formerly known as Blue God Entertainment) with Anshu Mishra as the producer and Nitin Khanna, Afsana Kherani, and Ramen Raheja as co-producers.

The screenplay of the movie has been written by Mukta Bhatt, Vivek Verma, and director Abhishek Dogra.

In Jeevan Bheema Yojana, Warsi plays a debt-ridden common man named Jeevan whose life takes an unexpected turn when he meets his dangerous lookalike, Bheema.

The film's synopsis states: "What initially appears to be an opportunity soon spirals into a chaotic chain of events, drawing its characters into a web of lies, greed and increasingly risky choices."

Sanjeeda Shaikh plays Jeevan's sharp and resourceful wife, Yojana.

The supporting cast includes Vijay Raaz, Pooja Chopra, Bijendra Kala, and the late Atul Parchure.

Dogra has described the film as "about ordinary people making one extraordinary, catastrophic decision and then spending the rest of the film paying for it."
