500 Indian students in Iran shifted to safer spots
About 500 Indian students, mostly from Jammu and Kashmir, have been shifted to safer spots in Iran as airstrikes continue.
The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) stepped in to help and engaged with Iranian officials; Iranian representatives said relocations to safer locations such as Qom were underway.
JKSA's Nasir Khuehami met with Iranian officials in Delhi, sharing the worries of students and their families.
Evacuation routes being looked at
Iranian authorities say they are prioritizing the safety of these students and are working with India's embassy in Tehran.
They are also looking at possible evacuation routes through nearby countries if things get worse.
Khuehami has urged the Indian government to act quickly, saying many students are scared and just want a way home.
