Ahmedabad student allegedly dies by suicide ahead of NEET re-exam

Just days ahead of the NEET re-exam, an 18-year-old student from Ahmedabad's New Ranip area allegedly died by suicide on Thursday.
He reportedly jumped from his apartment balcony, and police have registered an accidental death case and have started their investigation.

Police are checking the student's laptop and talking to classmates, waiting for more details from his family.
The tragedy comes as NEET students face extra pressure: the earlier test held on May 3 was canceled amid allegations of a paper leak and is now under CBI investigation.
Earlier this week, another NEET aspirant in Dehradun also died by suicide, with academic stress suspected as a factor in the Dehradun case.
