'My morale has grown 100 times': Kejriwal after getting bail
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal walked out of Tihar Jail on Friday, over six months after his arrest in the excise policy case. He was greeted by cheers of celebration from his supporters and senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders who shouted "Kejriwal Zindabad." Addressing the crowd in the rain, Kejriwal said his morale and strength have gone up 100 times since his imprisonment. He also thanked those who came to support him despite the rain.
God has supported me at every step: Kejriwal
"They put me in jail, they thought putting Kejriwal behind the bars will break his morale. Today, I want to tell you that I have come out of jail, my morale has boosted 100 times. My strength has increased 100 times," the AAP chief said. "I have faced many difficulties in my life but God has supported me at every step. This time too God supported me because I was honest, right."

Kejriwal's arrest and subsequent bail
He said that he will continue fighting against all powers that try to weaken and divide the country. A Supreme Court bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan granted him bail on Friday, noting that the trial was unlikely to complete soon. While passing the judgment, Justice Bhuyan came down heavily on the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), stating that Kejriwal's arrest after obtaining bail in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) case was just to thwart Kejriwal's release from prison.
BJP demands Kejriwal's resignation, AAP retaliates
Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in connection with the excise policy case. He was granted interim bail on May 10 by the Supreme Court for campaigning in the Lok Sabha polls but surrendered on June 2. Later that month, the CBI arrested him. Following Kejriwal's release, AAP leaders announced their plans to contest the Haryana Assembly elections with "double energy." State party chief Sushil Gupta confirmed that Kejriwal would campaign in the state following his release.
