On Monday, Bengaluru cab drivers gathered outside Uber's office, upset about what they say are unfair earnings and treatment.
Organized by the Bharath Transportation Group, the protest called out Uber for allegedly treating fleet drivers differently from independent drivers and hiring drivers from outside Karnataka.
Things got tense when some protesters tried to enter the locked office, leading to police stepping in.

Uber pushed back against the accusations, saying their system is fair and lets drivers keep all their fares after a small subscription fee.
The company condemned any violence and stressed that all drivers—no matter how they operate—are treated equally.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the attempted break-in.
