Bomb threats shake up Kerala CM's residence and city banks

On Monday, bomb threats hit Cliff House—the official home of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan—and two South Indian Bank branches in Thiruvananthapuram.
The timing is tense, with President Droupadi Murmu set to visit soon for Navy Day celebrations on December 3.

Police step up as hoax threats keep coming

Police and bomb squads quickly searched all the targeted spots but didn't find anything dangerous.
This isn't the first scare for Cliff House—there have been similar threats before, some allegedly involving groups like the LTTE and a Karachi-based ISI cell.
Thiruvananthapuram has seen a string of these hoaxes lately at places like the airport and government offices, so security is staying extra tight, especially around major events.
