Cabinet clears ₹25,060cr boost for Indian exports
The government just greenlit a ₹25,060cr Export Promotion Mission to help Indian exporters over the next six years.
The plan focuses on fixing big hurdles like tough financing and weak branding—especially for MSMEs, first-time exporters, and landlocked states.
Two sub-schemes will roll out: one making credit cheaper (Niryat Protsahan), and another offering non-financial support (Niryat Disha).
Why should you care?
This mission is all about helping MSMEs, first-time exporters, and labor-heavy sectors like textiles and marine goods—basically, the backbone of young entrepreneurs and job seekers.
It comes at a crucial time: export numbers have dropped sharply after new US tariffs kicked in this August.
To soften the blow and keep jobs safe, there's also a fresh ₹20,000cr Credit Guarantee Scheme offering collateral-free loans to exporters.
In short: more support for small businesses means more opportunities for young Indians looking to break into global trade.
