CBI pushes back on Rabri Devi's request to move IRCTC, land-for-jobs cases

India

The CBI is not on board with ex-Bihar CM Rabri Devi's plea to shift four criminal cases—including the IRCTC hotel scam and a land-for-jobs case—out of New Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court.
They say her move is just an attempt to stall the trial and cast doubt on the judge after charges were already framed in October.

What are the cases about?

Rabri Devi, her husband Lalu Prasad Yadav, their son Tejashwi, and others are accused of conspiracy, cheating, and corruption for allegedly trading railway jobs for land and awarding hotel contracts unfairly when Lalu was railway minister.
Devi claims the judge is biased against them.
The next hearing is set for December 15 as courts decide if these cases should be moved or stay put.
