Centre plans high-level tourism meeting in Pahalgam

The government is hosting a big tourism review meeting in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on July 7-8.
Led by the Ministry of Culture, tourism secretaries from every state will pitch ideas for making one destination in their state truly world-class.
This push comes after PM Modi's recent call to boost India's travel scene.

Rebuilding trust after April terror attack

Pahalgam was picked for this meeting to show it's safe and open for visitors again, after a tragic terror attack in April that hurt local tourism badly.
The government hopes new safety steps, expert input, and even a memorial for the victims will help rebuild trust and bring travelers back—both from India and abroad.
