Courier executive Kumar faked 2015 murder to escape debt
India
A 33-year-old courier executive, Kumar, went to wild lengths to escape debt: he faked his own murder back in 2015.
His plan? Use a stolen body, burn it under a bridge, and leave his bike and ID behind so police would think he was dead.
But things started falling apart when the postmortem didn't quite add up.
Courier executive Kumar arrested in Chennai
Kumar was first arrested in 2015 but managed to get bail and disappeared to Chennai, living under a fake identity for over a decade: no contact with his parents, new identity, and the works.
After several trips to Chennai, police finally tracked him down on August 23, 2026.
He's now in custody, a reminder that even the most elaborate plans can eventually catch up with you.
