Delhi petrol and diesel prices unchanged despite West Asia drama
Even with all the drama in West Asia pushing up international oil prices, India's regular gasoline and diesel prices haven't budged.
As of April 1, 2026, you'll still pay ₹94.77 for a liter of gasoline and ₹87.67 for diesel in Delhi, according to the Petroleum Ministry.
India shields consumers, OMCs bear losses
The government is basically stepping in to shield everyday consumers from those global price spikes, even though Oil Marketing Companies are taking a hit (losing ₹24.40 per liter on gasoline and over ₹100 on diesel).
Premium fuels like XP100 have gotten pricier (now ₹160 per liter in Delhi), and commercial LPG plus aviation fuel rates have also shifted thanks to market swings.
For most people filling up their vehicles, things stay unchanged for now despite all the international chaos.
