Delhi Police arrest Raju Mukhiya alleged mastermind of house burglaries
India
Delhi Police have caught Raju Mukhiya, the alleged mastermind behind a series of house burglaries across Delhi and Haryana.
The 38-year-old was arrested in Dwarka after skipping court in three cases.
He had been on the run for a while, but a police tip finally led to his capture.
Posed domestic workers targeted upscale homes
Mukhiya's crew had a clever setup: they placed members as domestic workers in upscale homes to scope out targets and plan thefts.
They are linked to major cases in Rajouri Garden, Kalkaji, and Gurugram's DLF Phase II, including one heist where they made off with ₹25 lakh to ₹30 lakh in cash and jewelry.
After his arrest, police learned about a network of domestic workers across states involved, and more investigations are underway.
