Delhi to hand out Lakshmi Yojana letters at Talkatora Stadium
Big news for Delhi women: pension letters under the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana will be handed out on August 26 at Talkatora Stadium.
This new scheme, launched just this month, promises ₹2,500 every month for eligible women.
The first payment lands in bank accounts from September 1.

The response has been huge: around 8 lakh registrations and more than 5 lakh applications in only 18 days. To speed things up, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wants verification done quickly so benefits aren't delayed.
If you're a woman aged 21 to 60, the eldest female member of her family whose annual family income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh, and the applicant, her husband, or either of her parents must have been a resident of Delhi for at least 10 years, you can apply anytime online.
Of the monthly amount, ₹1,500 will be deposited into a recurring deposit (RD) or fixed deposit (FD) till July 31, 2029; the other ₹1,000 will be credited to the beneficiary's bank account linked to a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) wallet.
