Delhi's air quality remains 'very poor,' no relief until November 4

India

Delhi's air quality is stuck in the "very poor" zone, hitting an AQI of 366 on Sunday and 324 on Monday.
Some areas even crossed into the "severe" category for a while, with AQIs over 400.
Neighboring cities like Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram aren't doing much better, all reporting similarly bad numbers.

Why is the air so bad?

Light winds are making it tough for pollution to clear out, so harmful particles just keep building up.
The main culprits? Local emissions, stubble burning from nearby states, and weather that traps everything close to the ground.
If you have asthma or heart issues—or just want to avoid breathing trouble—it's a good idea to stay indoors when you can until things improve (which probably won't be before November 4).
