Delhi's electric double-decker buses are back for sightseeing

India

Delhi is bringing back electric double-decker busses just for sightseeing, taking you on guided tours between landmarks like the National War Memorial, Bharat Mandapam, the new Parliament building, and Dilli Haat.
The tours kick off soon in the evenings and promise a clear, open view of Lutyens's Delhi—no annoying overhead wires or low trees in the way.

What's on board and how much does it cost?

Each bus fits 63+ people and was donated by Ashok Leyland as part of their CSR efforts.
Expect cool images of Delhi's best spots inside and a guide to give you local stories as you ride.
Tickets are ₹500 for adults and ₹300 for kids aged six to 12.

A throwback with a twist

Double-decker busses haven't rolled through Delhi since 1989 when they were called "Suvidha busses." This time, they're sticking to tourist routes because of height rules.
After failed attempts at hop-on-hop-off services due to traffic jams, this focused sightseeing tour seems like a smarter move—and a fun way to see the city from up high again.
