Delhi's winter gets colder—City steps up fight against dust pollution

Delhi is in for a chilly week, with temperatures dropping to 7-10°C at night and daytime highs around 22-25°C from December 11-17.
Expect some morning fog on December 13 and 14, though light winds may limit the dispersion of pollutants.
Skies will mostly stay clear or partly cloudy.

Why does this matter?

Winter smog in Delhi often gets worse due to dust from road construction and repairs.
To tackle this, city officials just rolled out stricter rules: better pavements, regular street cleaning, faster pothole fixes, and fewer random dig-ups unless it's urgent.
