Dengue deaths in Delhi raise concerns, authorities on alert

India

Dengue is making a comeback in Delhi, with 63 new cases reported just last week and the total now at 1,199 for mid-November.
Sadly, two people have died from dengue recently, and authorities are still looking into 13 more possible fatalities.
The numbers aren't as high as previous years, but health officials are monitoring the situation.

Malaria and chikungunya cases also rising

It's not just dengue—malaria and chikungunya cases are also rising. So far this year, Delhi has seen 649 malaria and 142 chikungunya infections.
Tracking these outbreaks isn't easy: hundreds of cases have wrong addresses or missing doctor info, making it tough for the MCD to respond quickly.
Even though cooler weather usually slows down mosquitoes, indoor breeding might still be keeping them around.
