East Delhi rescuers search for 15-year-old in open drain
India
A 15-year-old boy accidentally fell into an open drain in East Delhi on Saturday morning while chasing a kite.
The incident was quickly reported, and rescue teams from the Delhi Fire Service, NDRF, and Boat Club rushed to help.
Despite their efforts, continuous water flow in the drain has made the search really tough.
NDRF search continues as family waits
The NDRF continued looking for the boy on Sunday but still hasn't found him.
His father, Awadhesh Kumar, shared his worry: "My son fell in here yesterday at 11. He is 14 or 15 years old. His name is Mithun. We don't know how he fell, but he hasn't been found. This drain is completely open. The NDRF team and divers arrived here."
The family is anxiously waiting for any news while safety concerns about open drains remain high.
