Ex-PA accuses Jharkhand BJP leader of abduction
Devashish Manoranjan Ghosh, who used to work as a personal assistant to BJP leader Sita Soren in Jharkhand, says he was abducted and assaulted by her on March 6. According to Ghosh, he was told they were going to a wedding in Dhanbad but was instead taken to a hotel, where he was attacked and had money taken from his bank accounts. He also claims a pistol was planted near him and that he ended up spending 31 days in jail.
Here's more on the matter
Ghosh believes this all happened because Soren thought he helped a rival politician hurt her campaign. He's filed an official complaint against her and eight others; the court has accepted it and is looking at evidence like call records and emails. On the other side, Soren denies everything and says Ghosh actually cheated her out of ₹1.5 crore during the election. She's filed several cases against him too, including one under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act. The legal battle is ongoing.
