Ghaziabad sisters die by suicide after playing Korean game: Report
In a heartbreaking incident, three sisters aged 16, 14, and 12 allegedly died by suicide in Ghaziabad after their parents confronted them about their obsession with a task-based Korean love game.
The girls had been hooked on the game since the pandemic and hadn't attended school regularly for two years.
According to their father, "There were 50 tasks. Yesterday was the last one."
Late at night, they locked themselves in a room and jumped from their ninth-floor balcony.
'We can't leave Korea. Korea is our life'
Police are investigating and have sent the bodies for post-mortem.
A suicide note, variously described in reports as one page or as an eight-page entry in a pocket diary and written in Hinglish, was found, where the sisters apologized to their father—writing "Sorry, Papa" with a crying emoji—and shared how much Korea meant to them: "We can't leave Korea. Korea is our life."
