Government approves 3 part-time non-official directors to RBI central board
Three new part-time, non-official directors, Annie George Mathew, Janmejaya Kumar Sinha, and Syed Akbaruddin, have just joined the Reserve Bank of India's central board.

Sinha is known for leading Boston Consulting Group India and advising on key economic reforms; he actually started his career at RBI.
Former diplomat Akbaruddin is a seasoned diplomat who represented India at the United Nations and has held several major international roles, so expect some global insight on the board now.
