Gujarat HC eases bail rules for Asaram Bapu

The Gujarat High Court has eased some bail conditions for Asaram Bapu, who's serving a life sentence after being convicted of rape.
He no longer needs a round-the-clock police escort during his six-month medical bail, but he still can't meet followers in groups or give public speeches.

Why the court made this call

The state wanted to keep the police escort, but the court felt it wasn't necessary and instead stuck with other restrictions—like regular medical updates.
This move is pretty much in line with what Rajasthan's High Court decided earlier, showing that courts are being careful about how they handle his temporary release due to health issues.
