Gujarat: Man arrested for murdering wife over extramarital affair

An 18-year-old man, Mohsin Maman, has been arrested in Gujarat's Kutch district for allegedly killing his 19-year-old wife, Kulsum.
The couple—married for two years and also first cousins—had ongoing issues because of Mohsin's long-term affair and plans to marry someone else.
Following ongoing quarrels related to his extramarital affair, he reportedly killed Kulsum and disposed of her body in a well.

How the case unfolded

Kulsum's family noticed her clothes floating in a nearby well and discovered her body inside.
Kulsum's father lodged a complaint with the police, who later recovered the murder weapon and motorcycle used in the crime.
A formal complaint was filed by Kulsum's father under Section 103(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
