Gujarat: Man kills live-in partner, dies in police custody

A man, Narendra Singh Dhruvel, allegedly murdered his 20-year-old live-in partner Pushpadevi Maravi during a fight at their residence in the labor quarters of a ceramic factory in Gujarat's Saurashtra region.
The couple had been living together at a ceramic factory's labor quarters for three months.
According to police, Dhruvel attacked Maravi with a wooden stick and belt, causing fatal injuries confirmed by the post-mortem.
What happened next
Dhruvel was arrested and admitted to killing Maravi.
While in police custody early Sunday morning, he complained of chest pain and was rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him dead after an initial round of checks.
