Himachal Pradesh hit by rain-triggered landslides
Himachal Pradesh is dealing with heavy rains, leading to landslides and blocked roads.
The Meteorological Centre has put out an orange alert for June 22, 23, 25, and 26, warning of more intense rain at certain places.
Key routes like the Dharmshala-Chataro-Gaggal road are currently shut due to landslides, with teams working to clear them.
Travel likely to remain tricky for now
The Tauni-Hatkoti road in Upper Shimla has also been hit by rain damage.
Waterlogging at Shahid Inder Singh Middle School in Pandoh is making things tougher for locals.
Thunderstorms have rolled through Sundernagar, Shimla, and Kangra; Bajaura saw gusty winds up to 37km/h.
Nahan recorded the highest rainfall so far—84.7mm.
With a yellow warning still active and the monsoon moving in further, travel could stay tricky for a while.
