India
If you're in Himachal Pradesh, get ready to pay more for your next drink.
Starting April 1, 2026, the state has bumped up liquor prices: English liquor is now up to ₹100 pricier per bottle, and other brands are seeing a ₹10 to ₹30 hike.
This is part of the usual yearly price update.
Himachal Pradesh reintroduces MRP system
The state has switched back to the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) system, moving away from the old Minimum Selling Price (MSP) setup.
Liquor shops now have to clearly display updated rate lists and share concerned excise and taxation inspector's contact information so you can report any overcharging.
Popular brands like 100 Pipers and Blender's Pride are included in these changes, all aimed at keeping things transparent and fair for buyers.
