Himachal Pradesh: Tabo records season's lowest temperature at -5.5degC

Himachal Pradesh is facing a harsh cold wave, especially in its higher and tribal regions.
Tabo hit a season-low of -5.5°C, with Keylong and Kukumseri also well below freezing.
Even Kalpa saw a chilly 0.2°C and some snowfall.

Water pipes freezing, people at risk from low temperatures

The extreme cold is making life tough—water pipes are freezing, and people are at risk from the low temps.
Recent rainfall has been 140% above normal.
The weather department says nights will get colder as winter sets in, but at least the next week should stay dry for now.
