Himachal Pradesh is facing a harsh cold wave, especially in its higher and tribal regions.
Tabo hit a season-low of -5.5°C, with Keylong and Kukumseri also well below freezing.
Even Kalpa saw a chilly 0.2°C and some snowfall.

The extreme cold is making life tough—water pipes are freezing, and people are at risk from the low temps.
Recent rainfall has been 140% above normal.
The weather department says nights will get colder as winter sets in, but at least the next week should stay dry for now.
