Hyderabad: Businessman arrested for producing fake 'ghee'

Hyderabad police uncovered a fake ghee operation at Pride Dairy in Bholanagar in March 2026.
Mohammed Junaid Hussain, a 26-year-old businessman with a valid license, was caught making and selling counterfeit ghee by mixing palm oil and vanaspati with low-quality ingredients.
He passed off these products as pure ghee to customers, hotels, and event organizers.
Equipment, raw materials seized
Officers seized over 3,700kg of fake dairy products, including ghee and cream, worth around ₹18.26 lakh, plus equipment like boilers and packing machines used in the racket.
A police case has been registered and investigations are ongoing.
