Hyderabad readies for Hanuman Jayanti April 2 diversions, liquor closures
Hyderabad is getting ready for Hanuman Jayanti on April 2, so expect some big changes around the city.
Major traffic diversions will be in place from morning until evening, and liquor outlets in Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, and Cyberabad will stay closed from April 2 to April 3, with the Cyberabad dry-day order running from 10am to 10pm.
The main Sri Veera Hanuman Vijay Yatra starts at Gowliguda Ram Mandir at 11:30am and wraps up at Sri Hanuman Temple in Tadbund after a 12-kilometer route.
Hyderabad processions prompt reroutes and parking
With at least 168 processions planned (including one from Karmanghat), heavy vehicles and RTC busses might get rerouted on busy stretches like Putlibowli and RTC Crossroads.
If you're joining the festivities, parking is set up near Dhobi Ghat, Hanumanth Reddy Complex, and open spaces near Imperial Gardens in Karkhana.
Liquor stores across Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, and Cyberabad will be shut until April 3, though star hotels and registered clubs are exempt from the ban.
