India blocks Telegram ahead of NEET-UG re-exam, NTA admits limits
With the NEET-UG re-exam coming up on June 21, the government has blocked Telegram access in India to crack down on question paper leaks.
NTA's Director General Abhishek Singh admitted it's not a perfect fix (VPNs can still get around it), but said this step helps protect students from scams and financial losses.
NTA readies re-exam in 37 days
Special task forces and state police are actively shutting down leak channels, which often pop up under new names.
NTA pulled off all re-exam preparations in just 37 days, with Defence Ministry and Air Force support cutting transport time from 15-20 days down to three or four.
They've secured 5,440 centers in India and 14 centers abroad, with extra support from the Ministry of Home Affairs, paramilitary forces, the Department of Post, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of External Affairs, state governments, state police and administration to keep things safe for everyone.
